Site Rules & Submission Guidelines

This site is dedicated to Freedom. Freedom of the road, freedom to speak one's mind (alleged or otherwise), and the freedom  to do things the way you see fit. As such, we're pretty much open to anything, but we have two simple rules for you  to follow:

  • First, and most important rule: Don't mess with us. That means don't waste our time. And you know EXACTLY what that implies. (If you're too stupid to understand, we don't want you here anyway, so GTFO!)  All you need to remember is that if you're civil with us, you can expect the same, or better, treatment.
  • Second rule: When in doubt, refer to Rule #1.
If we find that these rules don't work, we'll come up with others, as needed, but I doubt that'll be necessary.

Thinking about contributing something to the site?

Before you send us anything, READ THE FOLLOWING. The remaining guidelines concern submissions to this site.

(1) All text submissions MUST BE ASCII (.txt) FILES that can be opened with any simple text editor.

(2) WE WILL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ACCEPT .exe FILES, OR OTHER EXECUTABLES.  Live with it. We will delete any such files without opening them. For more information, refer to Rule #1.

(3) Any graphics should be .jpg files under 100KB (smaller preferred). Depending on who you are and what you're sending, we may accept .bmp (bitmap) files. Typically (because of the technolgy behind the format) these tend to be much, much larger. If you have no other means of sending us a .jpg, we'll take a look, and if we use it, we'll convert the file for you. Heck, we'll even send you a copy of the smaller file, if you want.

(4)  Proper credit will be assigned to all submissions, whether text or photos, unless you request explicitly that we do not attach such credit. We'll respect your privacy.

(5) All submissions become the property of this site, though you still retain the copyright. What that means is once we get your stuff, we have control over it, and can present it on our site as we see fit, but you still own it. (All you're doing is assigning us the right to use it on our site.) While displayed on our site, your submissions are protected by law against others ripping off your stuff under our site's copyrights, as well as your own. HOWEVER:

If you feel someone has taken anything of yours from our site, and is using it without your permission, we cannot be liable for such use. Everything you see on our site is equally open to electronic theft. Thus, under no circumstances can we be responsible for pursuing any legal action against such individuals. If someone takes our stuff, we'll decide how to deal with it. If someone takes your property, the right to prosecute such copyright violations is yours, and yours alone.

Since this site is 100% free, either live with this reality, or don't send us anything.

For more information about copyrights and a link to USC Title 17—Copyrights, go to our Valuable Links page.

(6) The site reserves the right to display any submissions for an indeterminate length of time. If you want to impose any restrictions on us with regards to displaying your work, let us know when you submit your material.

(7) The fact that you submit anything to us does not mean we have to display it on our site.We will notify you when/if we accept, or reject, your submission. If you violate Rule #1, you'll probably not get a reply.

That's it. Any questions, write me for clarification at
