A Sportster for the New Millenium

Part 1: The Atlas wide-drive frame

The frame on Project Metamorphosis is an Atlas XL Wide Drive Softail frame .  It has a 3-inch stretch and 3-degree rake.  The trees holding the forks in place are Arlen Ness Stepped Radius Mid-Glide with Ness "Fatbob" pullback T-Bars.

Tire wide enough for ya?  The rear wheel is a Rev Tech 16"X5" Stiletto running an Avon 180/60 tire with belt drive. Brakes front and rear are of the Jay Brake Quad piston type.

The photo at the right  shows the CCI custom billet extended forward controls with a custom shifter rod we built.
