Un-EVO!

Okay,  what’s wrong with this picture? Not a darn thing, as far as owner Don is concerned. As a matter of fact, this is quite a slick lookin’ scooter... for an un-Evo. That’s right, look closely: this isn’t a Harley.

Keeping in mind that our shop is named Cycle Creations, what better way to show our flexibility that to take Don’s 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic and transform it into a show-winning road machine?

The engine is mostly stock, displacing 1500cc.  The few performance enhancements come in the form of a stock carburetor with a K&N jet kit and a SuperFlo air filter, and a set of Vance & Hines "Long Shots" exhaust tubes.

When it comes to looks, this bike draws them.  Cosmetics include many modified Harley and Ness parts. The case covers and lower legs were refinished using a granite effect powdercoat.

Suspension chores are handled on both ends by Progressive Suspension components. The rear PS shocks are supported by a 2-inch lowering kit, while the same manufacturer supplied the front spring kit that dropped the fork by 1 1/2 inches.  The chromed-spoked wheels and rims are accented by black powdercoated hubs, and wrapped in Metzeler rubber.

The awesome paint work was laid down by Splatterhouse Graphics of Lindenhurst, NY using numerous shades from the House of Kolor.  The eye-catching tribal graphics and layering really work towards setting this scooter off from the rest of the pack.
