Dave’s Blue Bullet

Assembling the mock-up

Cycle Creations’ co-owners Dave and Eric, wanted to build a rolling showcase of their talents and capabilities. The project moved from idea to reality back in early 1998, when they began laying the groundwork to build the wild Bourget-framed custom creation that would showcase their creative talents. The scooter’s finally finished, and in these pages, you’ll get a glimpse of the effort that went into building this cycle creation.

Right: Okay, we’re gonna cop out a bit here since we doubt showing you every blessed building detail really matters.  Instead, we’ll start by showing you the end product after about a year, the rolling chassis.  It’s where we’ll start showing you what came next, and how all the hard work paid off.

Below: Detail shot of tank mounts we had to fabricate to secure the strecthed one-piece tank from Custom Chrome.

Right and below: Here’s the slick way we mounted the nifty bullet-style turn signals, in the ends of the fender struts.

Left: Way cool, no?

Right: After about a year and a half of hard work, the bike was completely mocked-up.  Other than the fact that it was missing a carb, gas and oil, it was ready to shoot down the road!
