A Sportster With Flair: Chris’ Bike

We build a lot of Sportsters at our shop.  A recent project was this 1979 XL owned by Chris. It has many custom parts and modifications.  This one "almost" won best of show at Daytona in ‘98.  Seems Chris had parked the bike in a lot and a judge came over to him, looked the bike over, and told him he was going to award him “best Sportster!”  Chris told him he didn't enter it in the show, that he thought he was just parking with a bunch of other Sportsters. True story!
