Tommy's Bike a Winner...
by a Long Shot!
image 516-248-1850

After much planning, much time, much effort, and lots of American green, Tommy's "Long Shot" chopper was completed in late September of 2002.

As you may have read elsewhere on our site, the bike won major kudos and a "Best of Show" trophy its first time out, at the Long Island Fire Riders show on October 6.

Take a look at the photos on this page and know that this bike wasn't built to place or show; it was built to win!

How It Came To Be

In the beginning... — Early stages  — Paint — Tommy's first look!

In IronWorks magazine (April 2003)

Tommy's chopper front right view That's one LONG bike! The frame is a Swedish style Daytec customized by Exile Cycles. It sports a whopping 50-degree rake with an additional 7 degrees in the SJP trees and 6 inches of downtube stretch. The 21-inch front wheel's held at way more than arm's length by a set of fork tubes that are 24-inches (!!!) over stock! Tommy's chopper right side view
Tommy's chopper right rear view The bike's paint was sprayed by a well-known Long Island custom painter, Mike Terwilliger of Visual Impact. The base is Pagan Gold over which he laid multicolored outlined flame graphics. View of tank on Tommy's chopper
Tommy's chopper left rear view The sharp-eyed among you may wonder where's the license plate? These photos were taken before the plate was added. Though cold weather's been the order of the day for over a month, Tommy's had time to ride his scooter about 500 miles since its completion. Tommy's chopper full rear view
